This park is situated within the ruins of Sakura Castle, with numerous remains of the castle such as the foundation of the main keep and dry moats still preserved. Notable trees include the approximately 400-year-old "Couple Mokkoku" (designated natural monument by Chiba Prefecture), as well as large trees like shii, kashi, and maple scattered throughout the area. It is also known for the beautiful autumn foliage of the maples and ginkgo trees from November to early December, attracting many visitors who enjoy walking around. The statue of Masayuki Hotta is also beautifully surrounded by autumn leaves.
