[Autumn Foliage Peak] Former Hotta Residence

The Former Hotta Residence is a mansion and garden established by the last lord of the Sakura Domain, Masatomo Hotta, in 1890 in his former territory, Sakura. The area, including the garden, was designated as a national scenic spot in 2015 as 'Former Hotta Masatomo Garden.' In autumn, the maple and ginkgo trees change color. The autumn scenery seen from inside the mansion is very profound, allowing one to quietly appreciate the beauty of Japan.

The event date is a guide for the peak season, and the peak season may vary due to weather conditions. * The garden is always open, while the mansion is open from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM (closed on Mondays, if a holiday falls on Monday it will be open and closed the following Tuesday; admission is until 4:00 PM).
