Ishirosan Kankyōji

Early Nov~Late Nov

The southeastern mountain of Sagamiko is collectively called Ishirosan. It is a highly popular hiking course that is easy to climb, and on the way to the summit, there is Kankyōji, where the remains of the poet Hakuren Yanagihara are housed. The temple grounds are filled with many natural rocks, strange stones, and ancient trees such as the snake cypress and large ginkgo (selected as one of Kanagawa's famous trees), making it a fascinating place to visit. In autumn, the entire mountain's trees turn colorful, showcasing a beautiful autumn scenery.
