Maja Old Bon Eisa
Old Bon Eisa held at an important cultural property
During the Obon (Old Bon) period, each region holds nenbutsu dancing (Eisa) to send off the spirits of ancestors to the afterlife. In Maja, it is held at the site of the Kuramoto (a national important cultural property), which was a local government agency during the Ryukyu Kingdom era.
