[Cherry Blossoms - Best Viewing] Hirano Jinja Shrine

A famous spot where you can enjoy various cherry blossoms.

Hirano Jinja Shrine

Mid-Mar~Late Apr

Cherry blossoms have been planted at Hirano Jinja Shrine since the Heian period as a symbol of vitality. During the Heian period, nobles enjoyed various cherry blossoms for a long time, and in the Edo period, nighttime cherry blossoms were opened to the common people, making "Hirano's Night Cherry Blossoms" a representative viewing spot in the capital. There are many cherry blossoms of original trees at Hirano Jinja Shrine, and you can enjoy various species of cherry blossoms over a long period (about a month and a half). *From 2022, tea houses (banquet seats) have been abolished for the protection of cherry trees.
