10th Anniversary Exhibition: Morikazu, the Garden, and Hometown

10th Anniversary Exhibition: Morikazu, the Garden, and Hometown
Public Foundation Kumagai Morikazu Tsukechi Memorial Museum

The garden and hometown that Morikazu loved dearly

Kumagai Morikazu Tsukechi Memorial Museum

8/1(Fri)~10/19(Sun) 10:00~17:00

In the garden of Morikazu that used to be in Tokyo, trees such as Shinano persimmons, hoonoki, and walnuts, which connect to memories of his hometown, as well as various wildflowers like Ebine and grass sogo were planted, and small creatures made the garden their home. Morikazu conversed with them, cherished the plants, and gently observed the birth and rejuvenation of life. At the Kumagai Morikazu Tsukechi Memorial Museum, 'Morikazu's Garden' has been recreated to the same size as it was then based on photographs of the time, interviews with related individuals, and remaining planting plans. Please enjoy both the works and the garden.
