The magnificent autumn foliage of the Weeping Maple

Kan'ndo Shrine Grounds, Nakagamado, Watanabe Town

Late Nov~Early Dec

The Weeping Maple at Nakagamado, a nationally designated natural monument, is a mutation of the Iroha Maple, characterized by its white and twisted trunk with bulges appearing here and there. The canopy spreads about 10 meters east to west, and in autumn, it changes to a vivid maple color, truly spectacular.
