Let's enjoy a stroll while feeling the seasons!
On either side of the Hanazono River, trees such as maple, beech, and mountain maple beautifully color the landscape. It is also designated as a prefectural natural park. The valley, believed to have been founded by Tamuramaro Sakanoue, continues along the Hanazono River from Hanazono Shrine through the Seven Falls to the inner shrine, with a scenic hiking trail of about 1 hour lined with many maples, oaks, and beeches, allowing for a walk amidst the autumn foliage. At Hanazono Shrine, you can also see the natural monument of the rhododendron colony in spring.
