WASITA Sanshin Class (Ryukyu Folk Song & Fast Strumming Course)

In Okinawa, many songs have emerged from daily life, such as nursery rhymes, teaching songs, love songs, and work songs, and are imbued with the feelings of the people as 'Ryukyu folk songs (Okinawan folk songs)'. In this class, you can receive lessons on 'Ryukyu folk songs' from instructors originating from Okinawa, and also learn fast strumming techniques that are essential for celebrations, such as 'Kachashi'. The instructors are Mariko Iwashima and Nobuya Miyagi. *There are 2 instructors per class, on a rotating basis.
