Torigoe Shrine Hatsumode

Hatsumode at Torigoe Shrine
An ancient shrine in Taito-ku that celebrates its 1369th anniversary. The main deities are Yamato Takeru no Mikoto, paired with the deities of Amanokoyane no Mikoto and Tokugawa Ieyasu. We pray for guidance to a prosperous year through the guidance of the white crane. Starting from January 1st at 0:00, sacred sake / longevity ginkgo nuts, sweet sake, and lucky koban will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. The decorative mikoshi will be open for viewing during the first three days of the year. At the offering shrine, the distribution of zodiac-related offerings and special New Year red stamps will commence. ■Notes The Torigoe Shrine office is open from 9:00 to 17:00.

- Starting from January 1st at 0:00, sacred sake / longevity ginkgo nuts, sweet sake, and lucky koban will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Longevity ginkgo nuts are available for approximately 2000 people. A special Torigoe festival calendar will be available with a lottery. Lucky koban is available for approximately 1500 people. There is also a lottery for one pure gold koban and 100 pure silver koban.
