Thematic Exhibition 'Connecting - The Trajectory of Swords Seen in Akabane Swords'

The approximately 5,000 swords that were preserved among those collected by the GHQ to disarm Japan after the war, primarily in the Kanto region, are called Akabane swords. This exhibition introduces the trajectory of swords that were considered weapons by the GHQ and were requested to be prohibited from possession, yet were preserved as items of artistic value, despite facing the harsh fate of existential crisis, through the display of Akabane swords.
