Hotaru Tonjo Bus

For guests staying at Tamatsukuri Onsen, a free bus "Hotaru Tonjo Bus" is operated to the firefly preservation area (Ooya District). "Tonjo" means "flying" in Izumo dialect. It takes about 10 minutes by bus from Tamatsukuri Onsen town to the firefly preservation area (Ooya District). After getting off, you can walk along the rice paddy paths to enjoy the fireflies. *Those wishing to ride should speak to the front desk on the day.

The event takes place on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays during the period (total of 6 days). Departure time is from 20:30 to the final check-in at 21:00 (planned). *The event may be canceled in case of bad weather.
