Yoron Island is a beautiful island known for its high transparency sea, located about 20 km northeast of the northernmost point of Okinawa Island, at the southernmost end of Kagoshima Prefecture. After the typhoon damage in 1898, people migrated from Yoron Island to Omuta and Arao, where the Miike coal mine was located, via Kuchinotsu in Nagasaki Prefecture, along with their descendants. This time, we will introduce the people of Yoron, who have not forgotten their 'sincere heart' and have walked until now amid a life full of hardships after migration, through photos and materials.
