The famous ghost story, The Earless Yoshihide. It is said that Yoshihide, known for his storytelling of the Tale of the Heike, lived at Amida-ji Temple (now known as Akama Shrine), which has a "Yoshihide Hall". At Akama Shrine, the kamishibai of "The Tale of the Earless Yoshihide" will be performed. The performer narrates the chilling tale of how Yoshihide's ears were taken by the vengeful spirits of the Heike after he forgot to write down the sutras. Everyone who watches the kamishibai will receive a Shimonoseki original postcard (one piece) as a gift.
