Shakuhachi Concert Beyond Styles (June)

A free concert where you can listen to various styles of shakuhachi music
The Minato-ku Hogaku Research Association includes performers belonging to the Fuka Meian, Kinko, and Tozan styles of shakuhachi, as well as players from different factions within each style. The performance pieces range from the classical repertoire of the Komuso to contemporary Japanese music, offering a rich variety. Come and experience the profound world of shakuhachi music. The repertoire includes "Oshu-den Tsurunosukoi," "Shinkyosei," "Mitani," "Yoshitani Suzubo," "Suzukuri Suzubo," "Shinsaku," "Tsuki no Kyoku," "Yobitake Uketake," "Yamato Choshi," "Hikyoku Tsurunosukoi," "Shishi," "Kangetsu Choshi," "Yamagoe," "Hibari no Sado Jōwa," "Echigo Suzubo," "Rinmon," and others. ■ Note: No prior reservation is required, and all seats are free.
