"O-suna-fumi" refers to a practice started by Kobo Daishi Kukai, where sand from each of the 88 sacred sites in Shikoku is laid out in a hall. By stepping on this sand, representing the first to the eighty-eighth sites along with the sacred sites of Koyasan, participants receive the same merit as those who undertake the pilgrimage in Shikoku. The pilgrimage in Shikoku spans approximately 1,400 km, where participants follow the footsteps of the Great Master, purifying their minds and bodies, extinguishing their worldly desires, and experiencing the joy and gratitude of life through this prayerful journey. Let's head to the special site for the Shikoku Sacred Sites Sand Ritual.
