Mizuo Town Water Festival

A refreshing festival where water craft puppets are displayed
A festival with a history dating back to the Edo period, it is a summer tradition of Onomichi. This refreshing festival expresses current topics and themes through intricately crafted puppets, which spout water from their fingertips. Various satirical elements and old stories are depicted using these puppets. The crafted puppets are scheduled to be displayed about a week before the festival day.
