Shiroyama is known as a famous cherry blossom spot, with about 2000 cherry trees blooming like a blanket over the hills. From the hills overlooking the Kitakami River, you can enjoy wonderful views of Mt. Iwate, Mt. Himekami, and Mt. Hayachine. During Cherry Blossom Week, there will also be food stalls, making it one of the highlights.
