Takamatsu City Museum of Art Special Exhibition "Takashi Ishida: The Space Between Painting and Windows"

Takashi Ishida (いしだ・たかし / born in Tokyo in 1972) has been recognized both domestically and internationally since the 1990s for his video works created using a continuous shooting method (drawing animation) of his own paintings. In recent years, Ishida has returned to painting on canvas for the first time since his teenage years, working to depict space and time on a "static plane." This exhibition, which is his first large-scale solo exhibition since 2015, will showcase about 80 works, including pieces never before shown to the public.

Note

Closed on Mondays. However, it will be open on August 11 (Monday, holiday) and September 15 (Monday, holiday), and closed on August 12 (Tuesday) and September 16 (Tuesday). *During the Setouchi Triennale 2025 Summer Session (August 1 to August 31), the museum will be open until 20:00 on Fridays and Saturdays. Admission is until 30 minutes before closing.
