Izumiya Wastewater Treatment Plant Rose Garden General Opening

Learn about the facility's role while enjoying the roses
The Izumiya Wastewater Treatment Plant began operation in December 1964 as the sixth wastewater treatment plant in Osaka City, with a current processing capacity of 220,000 cubic meters per day. The facility is equipped with 21 pumps that have a total drainage capacity of 150 cubic meters per second (including sewage pumps), playing a significant role in preventing flooding during rainfall. In early May, when the symbol flower "rose" is at its peak, the rose garden will be open to the public, and the distribution of manhole cards is also planned.
