Onomichi Sumiyoshi Fireworks Festival
13,000 dreams and romances lighting up the night sky!
The largest summer festival in Onomichi, coloring the night sky of the Onomichi waterway with fireworks. This festival honors the achievements of the construction of Sumiyoshi Beach, which laid the foundation for the development of Onomichi, and has been held since the mid-Edo period by the local seafood wholesalers praying for prosperity in business and the safety of maritime traffic.
