2025 Innoshima Navy Festival (Island Fire Festival)

The Innoshima Navy Festival is a festival where the people of the Innoshima region come together to recreate the Murakami Navy, which was active from the Northern and Southern Dynasties through the Muromachi and Sengoku periods, with Innoshima as its base. In 2025, the 'Sea Festival' will be held on Sunday, August 31, and the 'Island Fire Festival' will be held on Saturday, September 20. During the 'Island Fire Festival', events such as the entrance of the Murakami Navy main camp, the Jumping Dance, the Great Torch Parade, head-to-head meetings, the display of the Innoshima Murakami Navy's taiko drums, and the exhibition of large fireworks will take place. The climax will feature the largest 1-shaku-dama (10 inches) fireworks in Innoshima's history.
