[Cherry Blossom Viewing] Funeno-yama

The background of the city of Zentsuji, reminiscent of a picture book of folklore, is the mountains of "Gogaku". One of them, "Funeno-yama", becomes speckled with the pale pink of wild Yoshino cherries covering the entire western slope in spring. The blooming of Yoshino cherries occurs around April, when the Somei Yoshino flowers commonly seen in the city are nearing the end of their bloom. Funeno-yama has hiking trails maintained in a natural style known as the "Forest of Bonds", so those who want to see it up close should challenge themselves to hike.
