Awagatake Mountain Opening
Start of the climbing season!
The "three peaks" of "Awagatake" are a prominent landmark that can be seen from afar. It takes about 4 hours to reach the summit from the Kita Ibyakugawa trailhead. The mountain opening ceremony is held every year on May 5, marking the start of the climbing season. Nearby, there is also a day-use hot spring facility called "Iiyu Ratei", so why not relax your tired body after climbing? *Please be sure to take out insurance individually.

About 50 minutes from the Hokuriku Expressway Sanjo-Tsubame IC
From JR Higashi-Sanjo Station, take the bus bound for "Yagigahana Onsen" and get off at the last stop "Yagigahana Onsen", then walk for about 40 minutes
