46th Masuda Iwami Kagura Joint Performance Festival

Performances by 11 groups from Masuda City and invited groups from Hamada City
The Masuda Iwami Kagura Joint Performance Festival is held to showcase the dances that the various groups of the Iwami Kagura Kanwa Association in Masuda City have polished through daily practice. This event aims to preserve the traditional performing art of Iwami Kagura in the Iwami region, develop successors, and express gratitude to the local community. Traditionally held in December, it will now take place in May as part of the "MASUDA Iwami Kagura WEEK" in conjunction with the Iwami Kagura Day (May 20), which has been designated as a Japanese heritage site.
