The main festival of the Mito Komon Festival, which started in 1961. In addition to the spectacular parade of floats, the joint procession of portable shrines, and the lively dance showcased at the Mito Komon Carnival, there are many events to enjoy, including traditional crafts of Mito and the Mito Komon lantern parade using Suifu lanterns.
