A course to learn the traditional 'Kute-uchi kumihimo technique' that has continued since the Nara period. The 'Kute-uchi kumihimo technique' is a method of braiding cords using only fingers without much equipment. Cords made with this technique have been preserved as treasures from about 1300 years ago during the Nara period. Under the guidance of Kyuhistori volunteers who have mastered the 'Kute-uchi kumihimo technique', participants will create their original straps and more. Capacity: 20 people (first-come, first-served) for those in elementary school and older. Note: A guardian must accompany children in 3rd grade and below; please refer to the website for application details.
