Nishiiwada Hachiman Shrine Autumn Festival

Prefectural designated cultural property - Nishiiwada district traditional children's dance
At the Nishiiwada Hachiman Shrine Autumn Festival, children's dances performed by elementary school students up to 6th grade are dedicated. The dances dedicated include Senbonzakura, Hanazakura, Osenbu, Kurakami dance, and Nattobou dance. The origin of the dance is said to date back to the Keicho era when traditional performances were dedicated, and during the Genroku era, performers were invited from Kamigata, leading to the current dances being performed.
