Shizuki Hachiman Shrine Spring Festival
The majestic spring festival of the Shizuki district
The Shizuki district spring festival is held every year on April 29. Starting around 10 AM, the local neighborhood floats gather in the grounds of Shizuki Hachiman Shrine to showcase their intense performances. Many food stalls also line the grounds, attracting a large number of spectators every year. In the evening, the venue shifts to the Shizuki Nakabashi area, where eight magnificent 'futon danjiri' floats come together to create a lively atmosphere. The sight of the floats being raised high with the shout of 'sasagemashou' is impressive.
