Nana Tamamoto is known for her relief-like paintings and three-dimensional installations made from textile sculptures. Her techniques involve sewing cloth together to create shrinkage and cracks, as well as clumps of fabric with textures resembling ancient tree bark or coral, characterized by rich materiality and splattering color expressions. In Europe, it is referred to as sculptural painting. In this exhibition, centered around works that strongly express the traditional theme of 'humanity' from her recent works, you can enjoy a chronological series including new collaborations with haiku poets.
