Gold Leafing Workshop
Experience the traditional art of gold leafing that connects Japan and Italy
A simple gold leafing experience utilizing traditional techniques used in Italian manuscripts. You can create your own design on wooden parts, applying the leaf over the carved patterns. The leaf comes in three colors: gold, pink gold, and silver. You can also add attachments like earrings, badges, and more to make accessories. It uses imitation gold leaf. Until May 19, there is an exhibition of Toyotomi Hideyoshi’s "Golden Tea Room" restoration at Sakai Rishou no Mori. Don’t miss out!
