[Hydrangea - Best Viewing] Donyama Kannonji

Donyama Kannonji, a temple of the Shingon sect of Buddhism, is located at an elevation of 450m in Sasaguri Town, Fukuoka Prefecture. The vast grounds feature approximately 2,500 hydrangea plants, which come into full bloom from mid-June to early July, delighting many visitors. Among these, the 'Ajisai-en' surrounded by cedars showcases a magical landscape of blue flowers. The path lined with blue maple trees at the temple's Tendoin also reaches its best viewing period, allowing for combined enjoyment. On June 28 and 29, the 'Kannon Market' is held, featuring stalls.
