The beginning of the Nara University Educational Corporation traces back to 1925, when Keijiro Yabunouchi established a night school with no tuition fees called "Nanto Seikyo Junior High School" on the grounds of Yakushi-ji Temple. 44 years later, in 1969, Nara University started in the area of Hōrai-cho in Nara City. This exhibition reflects on about 20 years from just before the campus was established in Hōrai to its relocation to the current Sanryo campus, through preserved photographs. It is an opportunity to learn about a part of the storied Nara University, including the school buildings under construction and the state of the Hōrai campus at that time.
