Nanase Fire Group Festival

Hashiramatsu
A beautiful and majestic festival
"Fire, Water, History, Hometown" is the theme of a festival featuring "Hashiramatsu" and "Mantorō", which have been held in the Takeda area since ancient times. The name "Fire Group" incorporates the meaning of "flame of passion" and stems from the desire to realize a new festival centered on the residents, first held in 2000. Highlights include the "Hashiramatsu", where a bundle made of straw, pine needles, and fireworks is attached to the top of a pole approximately 11 meters tall, and the competition for the time until the torch is tossed to ignite the fireworks, as well as the "Mantorō", where lanterns' lights continue along both banks of the Nanase River for about 2 kilometers.
