The "Tamashima Festival," held every year on the street in front of JR Shin-Kurashiki Station, has been cherished by the people of Tamashima as a handmade summer festival participatory by citizens for many years. This year’s theme is "Let Tamashima Ring – The Echoing Heat," featuring the usual "Citizen's Dance" and "Harbor Dance," stage performances with Tenryo Taiko, and horror mazes, among various other events. Numerous food trucks and night stalls will also be present, making it a summer festival enjoyable for couples, families, and people of all ages.
