Ani Fireworks Festival and Lantern Floating

Sparkling above, resounding in the mountains and rivers
A traditional event in the Ani region held every year on August 16. Lantern floating takes place in the riverbed, and 4000 fireworks are launched, so many that they cannot be fully seen without leaning back, against the backdrop of the mountain river surface. Because the launch site is close to the viewing area, a thunderous sound resonates in the mountains, allowing for an immersive fireworks experience. The collaboration of painted lanterns flowing in the clear stream of the Ani River, fireworks coloring the night sky, and the sounds echoing through the mountain gorge is breathtaking.
