Yamashiro Otagaku

Mystical sound of flutes and dynamism!
The 'Otagaku' that resonates in the summer night sky is a work that revives the mysterious performing art 'Dengaku' which was popular in the Middle Ages, created by the comprehensive artist 5th Generation Manjo Nomura, incorporating performing arts and music from various regions of Japan. A dynamic rhythm and dance, flamboyant and eccentric costumes, the mystical sound of flutes, and the flames of torches and bonfires unfold on the special stage in the center of Yamashiro Onsen.
