10th Anniversary of World Heritage Registration & 400 Years of Terumoto Mori - Hagi's Great Wooden Boat Race - Oshikuragou -

Hagi Clan Traditional Wooden Boat Race "Oshikuragou"
The traditional wooden boat race "Oshikuragou" has been passed down since the feudal era in the Tamaeura district of Hagi City. Youngsters in twisted hachimaki headbands and fundoshi loincloths board the wooden boats, rowing in unison with loud shouts, creating silver waves as they unfold an intense race. Look forward to the brave figures of the men of the sea.
