[Beach] Oiso Beach

Oiso Beach was established in the 18th year of Meiji by Jun Matsumoto, the first Chief Medical Officer of the Imperial Army, and is said to be the first beach in Japan. It is a popular beach, the closest to the station in Shonan, just a 10-minute walk away. Many beachgoers, including families and couples from inside and outside the prefecture, visit Oiso Beach. The symbol of Oiso Beach is 'Kabuto Rock'. In the 7th year of Reiwa, it will celebrate its 140th anniversary, with various commemorative events planned for the weekend.
