Yoshihara Gion Festival

A thrilling competition of floats, omikoshi, and taiko!
The 'Oten no san,' the number one Gion in Tokai, is a traditional festival held jointly by six shrines: Tenjin Shrine, Kinomoto Shrine, Yasaka Shrine, Hachiman Shrine, Yama Shrine, and Wada Hachiman Shrine. There are plentiful highlights, including the thrilling parades of floats, omikoshi, and competitions of taiko. The powerful floats and omikoshi are a must-see! Make sure to visit the vibrant venue. During the festival period, 'Oten no san Six Shrine Pilgrimage and Flower Water Walk' will be held simultaneously, and 'Hydrangea Bowl' will be implemented at Gakunan Eo Station.
