This experience is an event aimed at foreigners, allowing you to experience the making of a tea whisk that has been passed down for over 500 years at the long-established "Wakihon-do" in Takayama, Nara Prefecture. You will learn the process of splitting bamboo, aligning the fibers, and carefully shaping the whisk. By observing a demonstration by a tea whisk craftsman and personally experiencing the final winding process, you will complete your very own tea whisk. Conversations with the craftsmen, the joy of holding the tea whisk you created, and the serene time that follows will elevate the experience beyond mere craftsmanship to a higher realm. ■Notes Expo-related event. For foreigners aged 18 and over. Please check the website for the latest information.
