Let's think about 'What are waves?' (Kawagoe Open Course)

Let's think about the physical image of waves
It is said that the sound of musical instruments and the heat source of a microwave are 'waves'. So what are waves? In high school physics, we learned the simple harmonic motion formula y = A sin(2πft - 2πx/λ). In this course, we will first explain sound waves and frequency f using a violin, and then lecture on visible light and its speed, as well as microwaves, which are the heat source of microwaves. The application period is from April 1 (Tuesday) to May 14 (Wednesday). ■Notes Public lecture (Spring term 2025)
