42nd Archaeological Investigation Materials Exhibition "Excavating Morioka - Reiwa 6 Survey Report -"

The Morioka City Archaeological Learning Center will exhibit and explain the latest findings from the archaeological surveys conducted in the city during the 6th year of Reiwa. Visitors can see the excavated materials up close and learn about the history of Morioka that has been newly clarified through these surveys. Main display sites include: • Oshinmachi Ruins (Oshinmachi) • Ukyo Nagane Ruins (Midorioka) • Kobushi Ruins (Kami Iwaki) • National Historic Site Morioka Castle Ruins (Uchimaru). A report meeting by the survey staff will also be held on March 2, 2025. Be sure to participate and deepen your understanding. For more details, please refer to the website.
