Sokichi Nagakawa Ceramic Exhibition

The work of Tenmoku was inherited from my late father, who devoted his life to recreating the national treasure, Yohen Tenmoku. My father's birthplace is this area, Tajimi. He was born into a family of ceramic trading merchants in Tajimi and became a son-in-law to the Nagakawa family, who have been potters for generations in Seto. It is both a blessing and a strange coincidence that this year marks the 30th anniversary of my father's passing, and I am able to hold a solo exhibition in this city of Tajimi.
