40th Kawakita Festival Hokkoku Fireworks Kawakita Tournament

One of Japan's largest bonfires scorches the night sky
The Kawakita Festival is a celebration that fuses "mushi-okuri" (insect sending) and "okuribi" (fire sending), featuring a spectacular backdrop of a 40-meter high large bonfire with energetic performances of "Tedori Koryu Taiko" and "Mushi Okuri Taiko". The simultaneously held "Hokkoku Fireworks Kawakita Tournament" is the largest fireworks festival in Hokuriku and represents Ishikawa Prefecture. About 20,000 fireworks adorn the midsummer night sky. The finale featuring 2000 consecutive fireworks is a must-see! The excitement is overwhelming, and the venue is enveloped in heat.
