Recommended cherry blossom viewing spot for strolling

Iwatsuki Castle Ruins Park

Late Mar~Early Apr

Iwatsuki Castle Ruins Park is one of the top cherry blossom spots in the prefecture, with about 600 cherry trees in bloom. The park is hilly and surrounded by natural forests, and the earthen walls of Iwatsuki Castle still remain. A vermillion bridge is elegantly positioned over the iris pond within the park, enhancing its beauty even further. Various lively events are held throughout the year, and in the spring season, the cherry blossom festival and Nagashi-bina (flowing decoration) events take place.
