Keishoji Peony Festival

Temple of Flowers and Kannon, Keishoji Peony Garden
The garden located within the temple grounds is adorned with about 2,000 peonies of over 150 varieties. The peonies, lovingly cultivated over more than 30 years by the previous chief priest, are all large and magnificent. In addition, various flowers bloom throughout the grounds, allowing visitors to enjoy leisurely strolls and view them. During the event period, the only 72 ceiling paintings themed on Keishoji's flowers (inside the hall) and the garden will be open, and 'Keishoji's Specialty Bamboo Shoot Rice' harvested in the morning from the temple's bamboo grove will be available for sale.
