Imori Pond reflecting the autumn colors of Mount Myoko

Imori Pond

Mid-Oct~Early Nov

Imori Pond is a small pond about 500m in circumference, located in the Heiyan Onsen area of Myoko Kogen. It is said to have been named because there used to be many newts (imori) living there. On sunny days, the 2454m high Mount Myoko is clearly reflected on the water's surface, and in autumn, beautiful red and yellow leaves are displayed. You can enjoy the gradient of autumn colors as the trees along the pond's edge change color until the peak of Mount Myoko. There is also a walking path around the pond, making it easy to encounter stunning views.
