Shimoda Park Hydrangea Festival

At Shimoda Park, a small hill overlooking Shimoda Port, about 1.5 million hydrangeas bloom in June, with 300,000 plants. The park features walking paths, allowing visitors to enjoy a stroll surrounded by large hydrangeas. During the festival, local products and food stalls line the 'Bustling Market Street,' making it a great way to enjoy both the view of hydrangeas and some shopping. The Shimoda City Tourist Association website updates the blooming status irregularly, which can be helpful for planning your visit.
