Nagasaki Peiron Championship

A traditional summer event in Nagasaki with over 350 years of history. 26 paddlers ride on a 14-meter-long peiron boat, competing to the beat of drums and gongs. The sight of peiron boats racing in Nagasaki port is spectacular. ■ Notes Please take precautions against heatstroke. Be aware that drinks and other refreshments are available within the Matsugae International Terminal.

About 5 minutes via Nagasaki Expressway from Nagasaki IC via Nagasaki Dejima Road

Access (Public)

From 'Nagasaki Station', take the streetcar bound for 'Sofukuji' and transfer at 'Shinchi Chinatown' to the train bound for 'Ishibashi'; get off at 'Oura Church'.
